The Chicago-based band Stuck has recently released their latest single, "Sicko," as a preview of their upcoming album "Optimizer." The track blends punk and post-punk elements with introspective lyrics, offering a glimpse into the band's evolution and the new album's soundscape.

"Sicko" is an energetic song that captures the listener's attention from the first chord. The band's distinctive sound, characterized by sharp guitar riffs and driving drums, is prominently featured. The lyrics delve into themes of self-reflection and inner conflicts, adding depth to the track.

The album "Optimizer" is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, and will feature a total of ten tracks. In addition to "Sicko," the band has already released the singles "Instakill" and "Deadlift," both of which have received positive reviews. These songs provide a taste of the album's diverse sound and the band's ability to blend various musical styles.

The band consists of Greg Obis on guitar and vocals, Tim Green on drums, David Algrim on bass and backing vocals, with guest artists such as Sarah Clausen on saxophone and Kristyn Chapman on backing vocals. The recording of "Optimizer" took place at Electrical Audio in Chicago between March 2 and 9, 2025, and the album was produced and mixed by Andrew Oswald. The mastering was done by Greg Obis at Chicago Mastering Service.

To give fans a chance to experience the new material live, Stuck has planned a North American tour in April 2026. The tour includes performances in cities such as Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, and Brooklyn. Tickets and more information about the tour can be found on the band's official website.

With "Sicko" and the previously released singles, Stuck demonstrates that they continue to evolve and explore new musical territories. "Optimizer" promises to be an album that both old and new fans will appreciate, and it will be interesting to see how the band's sound continues to develop in the future.
