Icona Pop Announces New Album and Nordic Tour, With Stockholm Show in November
Swedish electro-pop sensation Icona Pop, comprised of Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, is making a notable return to the music scene with both new material and a highly anticipated tour across the Nordic countries. The duo announced the release of the single “Butterfly Feelings” set for Friday, marking the third track to be unveiled from their forthcoming album, “RITUAL”, slated for an August release.
This new phase in Icona Pop’s career sees the pair embarking on an extensive tour throughout Northern Europe during the autumn season of 2024. The tour will commence on October 23rd at Pustervik in Gothenburg, before moving on to a series of additional stops that include Oslo, Norrköping, Stockholm, and Copenhagen. A highly awaited performance is scheduled for November 7th at Berns in Stockholm, providing fans with an opportunity to experience the new material live in the Swedish capital.
Tickets for the Nordic tour will be made available for purchase starting May 25th at 10:00 am via LiveNation.se. The anticipation for these shows is heightened by the recent unveiling of two singles from the upcoming album – the title track “Ritual” and “Dance to this” – both released earlier in 2026. Icona Pop’s concert season officially launched on May 13th, when the duo played an energetic show at Trädgården in Stockholm, further building momentum ahead of their full album release.
Icona Pop initially rose to global fame in 2012 with the hit “I Love It,” featuring Charli XCX. The track quickly became a defining moment for the group and has since gone on to achieve 'Billions Club' certification, signifying over a billion streams. Their energetic, anthemic pop style continues to attract fans both in Sweden and internationally.
While several key destinations on the forthcoming tour have been announced, it remains uncertain if additional dates or cities will be added. Likewise, further details about the full tracklist of the “RITUAL” album have yet to be revealed. Nonetheless, the continued release of new singles and the announcement of the tour suggest Icona Pop’s continued prominence and enthusiasm for live performance.
Fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Icona Pop’s career can look forward to new music within weeks and a series of concert experiences throughout the Nordic region come autumn. With the promise of “Butterfly Feelings” and the full “RITUAL” album on the horizon, the 2024 season is shaping up to be a significant one for the acclaimed duo.
