Huggorm Embarks on Summer Tour Following Acclaimed Debut Album

Swedish rock group Huggorm is making waves on the national music circuit with the release of their debut album, "En värdelös historia." Upon its release, the album quickly climbed to the number two spot on both the Swedish vinyl and physical album charts, attracting the attention of notable publications such as Sweden Rock Magazine and Fokus Musik. This surge in recognition marks a new chapter for the band, who are now taking their energetic sound on the road with a series of summer concerts across Sweden, collectively named the "Lätt att få Hybris Tour."

Huggorm was founded in 2017 by guitarist Jocke Brännwall and vocalist Christoffer Wennberg following their collaboration on the song "Demoner i skallen." Initially envisioned as a studio-focused project, the group soon broadened its lineup with drummer André Nordlund, guitarist Jonas Eriksson, and bassist Fredrik “Buffy” Johansson. The expanded lineup helped Huggorm transition from studio recordings to energetic live shows, allowing their music to reach a broader audience.

The band's debut album is deeply rooted in classic 1970s rock, with an emphasis on powerful melodies and soaring choruses. Among the standout tracks is "Benny," which has garnered particular attention for its vivid, fictional storytelling—something guitarist Brännwall has openly discussed. In addition to the album, Huggorm recently released the single "Villa, Volvo, hund & skit," further cementing their foothold in Sweden’s vibrant rock scene.

This summer, Huggorm's "Lätt att få Hybris Tour" will see the band perform at a wide range of venues across the country. The tour kicks off on May 30 in Sundsvall and features appearances at several key music events, including Kirunafestivalen, Under Solen in Luleå, a much-anticipated date at Stockholm’s iconic Gröna Lund, and the Brothers of Metal Open Air festival in Malung. The itinerary also includes stops in Fagersta, Bollnäs, Höganäs, Karlskrona, Göteborg, Borgholm, Örebro, and Falköping, promising fans throughout Sweden the chance to experience Huggorm’s dynamic stage presence firsthand.
