The Way Out West festival in Gothenburg, scheduled for August 13–15, 2026, has recently expanded its lineup with eight new artists. Among these additions are American singer-songwriter Bonnie "Prince" Billy, British pop artist Alessi Rose, and Swedish artist Yaeger. These additions complement an already impressive list of previously announced artists, including The Cure, Gorillaz, and Ravyn Lenae.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy, whose real name is Will Oldham, is known for his introspective lyrics and unique blend of folk, country, and indie music. His latest album, "Keeping Secrets Will Destroy You," released in 2025, has been praised by both critics and fans. Alessi Rose, on the other hand, has quickly established herself as a prominent artist in the British pop scene with her personal and emotional music style. Her latest single, "Fading Light," has garnered significant attention and is frequently played on radio stations across the UK. Yaeger, the Swedish artist behind the debut album "Piratebae," has been praised for her unique blend of pop and electronic influences. The album, released in April 2026, has been lauded for its innovative soundscapes and strong melodies.

The festival has also previously announced other international artists such as Moby, Four Tet, and Oklou. Moby, the American electronic music pioneer, is making a rare visit to Sweden and will perform both classic hits and new material from his latest album. Four Tet, the British producer and DJ, is known for his experimental sounds and has been an influential figure in electronic music for over two decades. Oklou, the French producer and DJ, has gained international attention for her innovative electronic sounds and will offer a unique experience for festival-goers.

Ticket sales for Way Out West 2026 have been exceptionally swift, with several ticket categories already sold out. This reflects the high interest in the festival and its impressive lineup. For those who have not yet secured their tickets, it is recommended to do so promptly to avoid missing the chance to experience these and many other artists in Slottsskogen in August.
