D-A-D's Energetic Performance at Sweden Rock Festival 2025

On June 6, 2025, the Danish rock band D-A-D took the Festival Stage at Sweden Rock Festival in Norje. With over 40 years in the industry, the band, consisting of Jesper Binzer (vocals and guitar), Jacob Binzer (guitar and keyboard), Stig Pedersen (bass and vocals), and Laust Sonne (drums), has established itself as one of Scandinavia's most beloved rock acts.
The concert began with the powerful song "Jihad" from the album "No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims." The audience was met with an energetic start that set the tone for the rest of the evening. This was followed by "1st, 2nd & 3rd" from the latest album "Speed of Darkness," showcasing the band's ability to combine classic hits with new material.
During "Girl Nation," Jesper and Stig took their places on the stage structure around Laust, while Jacob walked out onto the ramp among the audience, showcasing his guitar skills. Laust and the stage structure were lifted, creating a spectacular visual effect. The audience enthusiastically participated in the sing-along, enhancing the shared experience.
Jesper Binzer expressed his appreciation for the audience with the words: "Dear Sweden Rock, remember – we love you. The next two days – party, party, party. On Sunday 'Sleeping my mother fuckin’ day away.'" This interaction underscored the band's close relationship with their fans.
The finale with "Sleeping My Day Away" was the highlight of the evening. Thousands of hands reached towards the sky, and the audience sang along to every line. Jacob delivered the best guitar solo of the night, while Laust powered through on the drums. Stig Pedersen, known for his unique two-stringed basses, played on a bass shaped like a rocket, complete with flames shooting from his helmet. This spectacular ending cemented D-A-D's reputation as one of the festival's most memorable performances.
In summary, D-A-D delivered a concert filled with energy, musical skill, and a genuine love for their audience. Their performance at Sweden Rock Festival 2025 confirmed their status as one of Scandinavia's premier live bands.
